Headaches are an extremely common and often debilitating problem. There are a few different types of headaches ranging from tension to migraines. Tension headaches are the most common type and can localize in various parts of the head including the forehead, temples, and the base of the skull. Migraines are more severe and often include sensitivities to light and sound, dizziness, and nausea. Tension and migraine headaches are often the byproducts of spinal misalignments in the neck impinging nerves to the head and face and impeding blood flow to the brain. By correcting these misalignments and restoring proper nerve function and blood flow to the brain we can reduce headaches. Through routine chiropractic visits we can manage the headaches and reduce how often they occur.
